Age UK is the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. It combines the operations of the previously separate charities Age Concern and Help the Aged. They believe in a world where everyone can love later life and work every day to achieve this.
AGE UK are looking to create a brand name, logo, and overall theme that is consistent with a new homeware store which is due to be launched later in 2016.
The student must over a number of weeks refine and identify Age UK’s new direction for their homeware store brand, noting key words which are intended to be synonymous with the store’s overall look and feel.
It is important that the student’s work must remain confident with the already researched decision that it is directed to the target market identified in the AGE UK research.
The project required the student Rochelle to produce:
'Concept Generation | Illustration Research | Brand Fonts & Tone'
'Draft brand statements into a rough narrative'
'A total of 5 brand names and logos including 3 varations of brand narratives'
TYPE: Extra Curricular
CLIENT: Val Moon
STUDENT NAME: Rachel Bolloch
DISCIPLINE: Fashion Brand Management
TIME SCALE: 4 weeks
Rochelle worked extensively over a total of 4 weeks of researching ideas for concepts and brand narratives, which included looking over a number of font examples, brand tones and colours. Whilst working on the project, the students used a combination of digital design, screen printing and sublimation printing at a local manufacturers and hand machining and finishing on campus at UCLan.
