‘To realise and present a new product range identity for WORKS WITH WATER, a brand campaign and supporting graphic design work.’
The client specified three modern bottle label/packaging designs, which would be different for each purpose, but coherent as a collection. Victoria Lam, of BA (Hons) Fashion and Brand Promotion with Photography, worked on a six week basis with the School of ADF team and WWW, to create the brand’s image and feel.
‘Works with Water’ is the UK’s first company to pioneer a range of 100% natural, clear skin supplements. WWW identified that consumers were increasingly paying more attention to healthy products and saw a gap in the market for a ‘pharmaceutical’ product range, containing natural ingredients proven to make a significant difference to people’s health.
Looking to develop a fresh contemporary brand identity for a new range of nourishing health waters: sports, beauty & weight loss, ‘Works with Water’ approached UCLan, seeking assistance in carrying out both branding design and market research.
The project required the student, Victoria Lam, to produce:
‘Research for existing market | consumer | colour | product specific identity.’
‘Brand and concept identity boards (three themes | key aspects of the brands’
‘ ‘Design proposals | presentation of concepts and identities | brand research | consumer DNA (all brand assets) | logos and unique identities.’
Final Concept Analysis & Designs :
‘Presented design pack | USP’s identified | brand campaign proposal | information on CAD flats, branding on product packaging.
The project involved the production of innovative design concepts for the brand campaign, which communicated the key nutritional benefits and delivery points on the front of the pack. This project gave Victoria the opportunity to utilise her knowledge of current trends in the health water industry. WWW also sells products through Amazon and company’s commercial website, therefore provided Victoria with exposure of her work and the opportunity and to progress within the industry.
